Back-to-School: the Foundation authorizes 400 Ogun pupils with learning material

No less than 400 pupils in Ogun’s state have received educational support in view of the new academic session, courtesy of precious light foundation points in collaboration with Ash Montana Dek of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS).

The sensitization, held in Wasimi, in the area of ​​the local government of Ewekoro, benefited from the children taken from nine surrounding villages. The objects distributed to pupils included bags for school, shoes, lunch bags, food bowls, water bottles, mathematical sets and other postcards.

Tagged “UNISTI by hand, collection” “”, the 2025 edition of the annual program was intended to encourage children of the communities undergoing returning to school with confidence and dignity.

Speaking during the event, the president of the Foundation, Damilola Onebamhain, said that the intervention was designed to give hope to children whose families may not be able to afford basic learning materials.

He said: “We have seen children in these communities that cannot go back to school because of poverty. We don’t want them to be hopeless.

“This initiative is our way of supporting the United Nations 4 sustainable development objective, which tries to guarantee inclusive and fair quality education for everyone.”

Onebamhain revealed that although 328 pupils were initially recorded, provisions have been provided for over 400 beneficiaries. He also exhorted the government at all levels to give priority to education in rural areas.

“We cannot continue to focus only on children in urban areas. Those in rural communities and undergoing also deserves equal opportunities. The government must make light illuminate by encouraging literacy everywhere,” he added.

Also speaking, the Capon of Ash Montana Dek (NAS), homitogun Adeyemi, said that the initiative aligns with the long -standing literacy and defense projects of the organization, including the Street Child project.

He said: “Our concern is that the strong should protect the weak, the rich should support the poor and the informed should share the knowledge with the unworthy. The government cannot do it alone, and this is why individuals and well -intentioned groups must join to guarantee children to stay at school”.

Adeyemmi stressed that the group’s commitment goes beyond charity, observing that its wider mission is to promote a right and equal society, free from discrimination.
