Benue Killings: Nasarawa denies that they host killer-pastors

On Wednesday, the government of the state of Nasarawa denied hosting murderers responsible for the attacks and killings supported in Benue’s state.

The secretary of the main press (CPS) of the governor Abdullahi Sule, Malam Ibrahim Addra, denied the press conference in Lafia.

He expressed disappointment for the series of accusations from an alleged statesman and other important sons and daughters of the state of Benue.

“We are forced to respond to the series of accusations against the governor by some sons and daughters of the state of Benue following the unfortunate murders in that state.

“In particular, the attention of the government of the state of Nasarawa was attracted by a harmful declaration by Prof. Zachary Angers, former Chancellor/Prime Minister, Benue State University, Makurdi.

“In a viral video that circulates on some social media platforms, Anger-Gundu has accused the governor on masking the killings in Benue, taking force with the control of farmers belonging to TV people in the state of Nasarawa and delivering them to the Mandini Fulani.

“We are dismayed that Prof. can pay attention to the wind by making these accusations not proven against the governor Sule,” he added.

He challenged the anger-gunddu to demonstrate the accusations of Gus with empirical tests, describing in detail where the aforementioned killer pastors and the involvement of the governor are camped.

He said that the professor should carry out concrete tests to demonstrate the seizure of land by the TV people delivered to the Fulani people in the state of Nasarawa.

“Inability to demonstrate these accusations, the anger-gunde should withdraw his harmful statements and keep an uninitiated without reserve to the governor and government.

“If he cannot demonstrate the accusations or to keep up without reservations, the Governor of the State of Nasarawa has no other choice than to establish a legal action to seek compensation,” he added.

Atra said that the interested parties who should work to help the government overcome the current security challenges have instead chosen to turn on passions by making inflammatory statements.
