Nigerian Afro-fusion musician BNXN is back with an authoritative and melody-rich work titled “Still in charge.”

The focused effort comes at a time when Afrobeat enthusiasts crave sticky hooks, rhythmic finesse and catchy grooves. BNXN reaffirms his musical dominance, confidence and creative freedom with this release, re-establishing his position as a top-notch hitmaker.

Behind the boards, sound architects lay out a warm mid-tempo canvas of soothing synth chords, lively percussion and swinging basslines. The clean sound engineering leads effortlessly, giving plenty of breathing room for his silky falsetto and conversational cadences.

BNXN dominates the tracklist with veteran tone manipulation, moving smoothly from contemplative musings to lively party vibes. It’s a project worth hearing, enhanced by Asake’s high-profile appearances on the lively opener”Eja Meja” AND FOLA on “Shamaya,” which offers dramatic vocal textures.
