Kano Pillars will travel to the Lekan Salami Stadium on Wednesday to take on Shooting Stars in a rescheduled matchday three matchday of the NPFL, with one clear objective: their first away point for the Oluyole Warriors since 2017.
The last time Pillars avoided defeat in Ibadan was on June 7, 2017 (a 0-0 draw), but since then, it has been a misery as Sai Masu Gida have lost their last four away trips to 3SC, conceding six goals and finding the opponent’s back just once.
However, the current Kano Pillars team has been resilient this campaign, unbeaten in six matches with two wins and four draws and sitting seventh in the table with 10 points.

As for 3SC, they have played three home games and have achieved two wins and a draw and are in 17th place with seven points on the record.
For Pillars, ending this nine-year wait by one point would be huge. Not only would it put them in the top five, but it would also show that they can compete outside the Sani Abacha Stadium, something they failed to do last season when they lost nine games away from home.
