Nigeria senior national team coach Eric Chelle is still not satisfied with the addition of Al Ittihad striker George Ilenikhena to the team’s attack, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Chelle managed to convert the 19-year-old from the Ligue 1 giants to the Saudi Arabian side in January. Many saw the capture of Ilenikhena as enough of an option for striker Victor Osimhen.
However, Chelle is still not satisfied and has contacted the representative of 18-year-old Angers striker Peter Prosper, we have learned exclusively.
Prosper scored five goals in 29 games last season, which was his breakthrough year in the French top flight after progressing through the club’s youth ranks.
Born in France to parents of Nigerian descent, he has represented France at under-19 level with one goal to his name, but remains eligible to play for Nigeria at senior level and Chelle is interested in having him.
However, he is currently returning to full fitness after suffering a hamstring injury.
