DHQ deploys troops, surveillance assets to trace abductors of Oyo students, teachers

The Defense Headquarters (DHQ) has deployed troops and surveillance assets to trace the perpetrators of the recent kidnapping incident in Oyo State.

Director of Defense Media Operations Maj. Gen. Michael Onoja, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja, while briefing journalists on military operations in May.

Onoja said the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, had expressed his sympathy with the victims and their families.

According to him, CDS views the incident as an insult to national sovereignty and public safety. He said the Armed Forces had launched a coordinated response and deployed special ground forces along with advanced air surveillance platforms in cooperation with state authorities.
