The Muslim forum of Abuja, an umbrella organ of Muslim organizations in Abuja, appealed to the federal minister of the territory of the capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to intervene in the interruption of water supply in the capital.
Saturday, the FCT authorities announced an update in the water supply, which could stop the offer for two weeks.
In a statement, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Ajani, Ameer, said that the interruption can lead to the health risk, especially during the celebrations of the AID.

He praised the minister for his good works in the capital, but suggested the deferral of the exercise until the celebrations.
The declaration states: “We appeal to the honorable minister of the FCT, Nyesome Wike, to intervene and reconsider the interruptions of the water supply during the celebrations of Eid Kabir in order to reduce the discomfort and the probable health dangers that can emanate from the predictable but avoidable consequences.
βThe updating with the top period of the greatest Islamic holiday in which the use of the water is very crucial and of great need must be a risk for the possible pandemic of diseases to the public.
“Although the update is commendable, but we strongly suggest the deferral of the exercise until the celebrations in which the negative impact would have reduced and pale.
