The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Saturday’s gubernatorial election, Wole Oluyede, on Friday visited the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Oluyede arrived at the INEC headquarters accompanied by party officials and supporters to lodge complaints that certain individuals not nominated by him had been given agent tags by the commission.
The PDP candidate was received by the Commissioner for Electoral Affairs in Ekiti State, Bunmi Omoseyindemi, in a meeting held at the REC office, where he aired his grievances and sought the commission’s intervention ahead of the elections.
He was then escorted out of the location by security officers.
