Faleke chooses presidential forms for Tinubu…

The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential elections.

The forms were presented to Faleke on Tuesday in Abuja by the national organizing secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Suleiman Argungu, who officially declared the process open.

Faleke, who is also the founder of Tinubu’s support groups, paid $100 million for the forms, marking the formal start of Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed January 16, 2027 for the presidential and National Assembly elections, while polls for the governorship and state Houses of Assembly are scheduled for February 6, 2027.

The electoral body also announced that party primaries, including dispute resolution, will be held from April 23 to May 30, 2026.

According to INEC, campaigns for the presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026, while those for the governorship and state assembly elections will begin on September 9, 2026.
