Fayose provides that the PDP will position in fourth place in the 2027 elections, blames the party crisis

The former governor of the state of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, said that the Democratic Party of the peoples (PDP) is in strong decline and it is unlikely that it goes well in the general elections of 2027, providing that the party could arrive in fourth place in the national race.

Fayose, a stalwart of the old PDP and a frank critic of the bankruptcies of the internal party, made the affirmation during a live apparition in politics today, a political business program on the television of the channels, aired on Friday evening.

According to him, the descent of the Pdp irrelevant is largely due to Wrangling unresolved interior, marginalization of expert leaders and a failure to learn from past electoral defeats.

> “If the party continues on this path of disunity and exclusion of the main parties concerned, not only will lose its place as the main opposition, but could end up in fourth position in 2027”, warned Fayose.

The former governor, who often collided with the national leadership of the party, described the current trajectory of the PDP as politically suicidal and asked for an urgent review of its structure and approach before the next elections.

He said that the party leadership was unable to manage his diversity, he alienated influential blocks of power and allowed battles with ego to weaken his electoral fortunes.

Fayose’s observations come among the growing concerns between the members of the PDP and supporters for the fall influence of the party, following his poor performance in the general elections of 2023 in which he lost several key states and has not resumed power at the federal level.

Reacting to his comment, some party lealists expressed disappointment, but recognized the need for introspection, while others accused Fayose of Furking Division..
