Chief coach Mohammed Abdulrahman admitted that his team fell short when it mattered, but praised the players for their struggle, attitude and identity that they are beginning to build.

“On one night, we were supposed to bring out our game A, we fell short. I’m not taking anything away from Senegal, they deserved victory,” Abdulrahman said.

“I am proud of how we play. Now we have an identity and we will continue to build on it.”

Despite the disappointment, Abdulrahman emphasized that the tournament offered encouraging signals for the future.

D’Tigers closed his campaign with four games played three victories in the group stage before retiring in the quarterfinals.
