Fulham Boss tips Alex Iwobi to be key figure

Iwobi signed for the Cottagers during summer transfer window after four and half years at Everton FC.

It took Nigeria international just three games to announce himself to the Club’s supporters as he scored and assisted a goal in the 2-1 EFL Cup win over Norwich City on Wednesday.

During his post media chat with the media, Silva backed Iwobi to become an important figure at Craven Cottage.

“As you know he [Iwobi] is a player I know really well and I was responsible for him to sign for Everton as well.

“I know what he can do as a player for ourselves in different positions on the pitch. He has qualities, he’s dynamic and his energy as well is going to make him an important player for us,” the Fulham boss said.

Alex Iwobi and Fulham will visit Championship side Ipswich in the last 16 as they look to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since the 2004-05 campaign.
