The Governor of the State of Benue, Hyacinth Alia, has suspended the Chairperson of the Universal State Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, for one month.
The suspension of the Chairperson of the SUBEB follows the resolution of the Benue State Council.
The DPR last month issued a resolution for the suspension of BOS Subeb for six months to allow an investigation of his activities on the council.
Head of Press Secretary for the Governor, Mr. Tersoo Kula, confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday in Makurdi.
Also suspended for one month each was the Chairperson of the Otuukpo Regional Government Area Executive, Mr. Maxwell Ogiri, and Executive Secretary of the lottery commission, Mr. Michael Uper ..

Alia reiterated that her commitment was unprooved in the rule of law, legal proceedings, and the principles of separation of power.
The Governor praised the Assembly for carrying out his constitutional responsibility and convincing the people from the commitment of his government to transparency, accountability, and good governance.
He urged all affected institutions to ensure the continuity of smooth service delivery during the suspension period of officials.
The governor urged the people of the country to continue to support the government’s efforts towards developing a country that works for all.
