Govt Sanzion School for selling the position of the prefect during the elections

The government of the State of Anambra has imposed a one -month penalty at the Blossom Fount School, Awka, for presumably sold the position of Prefect Head during the student elections.

This was disclosed in a statement on Saturday by the commissioner for education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh.

According to the commissioner, according to reports, the school asked for N5,000 from each student who aspired to become prefects in the primary section.

Chuma-Udeh condemned the act, describing it as an attempt to “sell the children’s psyche to the best bidder from the cradle”.

According to her, these practices are unacceptable under the administration of the governor Chukwuma Soludo.

He said that an investigation was underway to examine the largest school management practices, with the possibility of further results based on results.
