Gunmen kill an army general in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, FCT, has launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of a retired Brigadier General of the Nigerian Army, Uwem Harold Udokwe. General Udokwe was assassinated on Saturday by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers.
A statement issued by the territory’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the deceased was attacked and killed at his Sunshine Homes estate at around 3am on Saturday.
