Gwarzo congratulates Jigawa on the passing of the Emir of Gumel, says he was “loved by all”


The President of MAAUN University Group, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has expressed his condolences to the government and people of Jigawa State on the death of the Emir of Gumel, Alhaji Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Sani II.

In a personally signed statement released to journalists, Professor Gwarzo described the late emir as a widely loved and respected traditional ruler who enjoyed the loyalty and affection of his people during his 46-year reign.

“A leader so loved by his people after more than 46 years on the throne speaks volumes about his good leadership, commitment and service to the people. This is worthy of emulation by all traditional rulers and those entrusted with positions of authority.

“On behalf of myself and the entire MAAUN community, I extend my deepest condolences to the government and good people of Jigawa State, especially the people of Gumel Emirate, on the passing away of the revered Emir.

“His death has created a huge void that cannot be filled easily. May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and admit him into the Aljannatul Firdaus.”

He prayed that Allah would grant the family, Gumel Emirate and the people of Jigawa State the fortitude to bear the loss.
