The technical director of Heartland FC, Emmanuel Amuneke, praised the governor of the state IMO, his excellence, the distinct senator Hope Uzodimma, for his exceptional commitment for infrastructure development throughout the state, describing his efforts as transformational and impactful.

In a statement that signed and released through the Heartland Department of Media, the club also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for visiting the Imo State last Tuesday to commission several key infrastructure projects completed under the administration of the Governor Uzodimma.

Among the commissioned reference projects there were the Owerri – Mbaise – Obowo – Umuaia road, a vital corridor that connects the imo and Abia states; The Assumpta/Control Post Twin Thlowers, designed to relieve traffic congestion in the heart of Owerri; And the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Center, a modern structure that positions IMO as a destination for international and national events among others.

The club also highlighted the participation of the President in the public presentation of the book “A decade of progressive governance of impact in Nigeria”, written by the governor Uzodimma, as a demonstration of responsibility, leadership and alignment with the renewed agenda of hope.

Speaking on behalf of the club, Heartland FC Technical Manager and former African footballer of the year, Emmanuel Amuneke who witnessed the time that made an opportunity in the company of the club’s players and officials, praised the foresight of the governor and the dedication, noting that these infrastructure projects extend beyond the aesthetics to serve as an increase in economic growth, hectony,

“The governor hopes for Uzodimma to have shown how visionary leadership appears,” said Amuneke. “These projects are not just roads and overhanging: they are the arteries of development that make life easier for citizens, increase trade and provide the type of environment in which sports like football can thrive. The presence of President Tinubu to commission these jobs speaks of their meaning.”

Amuneke added that the improved infrastructure will go to the direct benefit of sports and club operations in the IMO state, improving training logistics, fans’ accessibility and the overall experience of the day while the team is preparing for the beginning of the Nigeria National League season (NNL) next month.

He expressed optimism that sustained efforts to plant trees would help make Abeokuta greener, Ogun State healthier and Nigeria more resilient to environmental risks. Badmos reaffirmed NES’s commitment to ongoing support, awareness creation and practical interventions aimed at promoting a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
