Oluwatosin Odun, the Welfare Officer of 36 Lions FC, candidly shared his thoughts on the team’s loss to Smart City FC in the Jagaban Cup final, emphasizing the game’s unpredictable nature.

Expressing a mix of disappointment and acknowledgement, Odun stated, “I will be sincere. I’m not happy, but kudos to the guys.Jagaban Cup

Football is a game of luck. The luck is on their side, and they won. So kudos to everybody.” He said in an interview with Sports 247.

Despite the loss, he commended the efforts of the players and recognized the role luck played in the outcome.

Reflecting on the significance of the Jagaban Cup, Odun expressed regret that the team couldn’t bring the trophy home.

He emphasized the event’s prestige and the team’s desire to claim victory, lamenting, “I’m not happy we’re not taking it home. I’m not.”

However, he remained appreciative of the team’s performance throughout the tournament.

Addressing the missed penalties during the match, Odun attributed them to nerves, noting, “I felt that they were jittery.”

He acknowledged the team’s regular training on penalties but recognized the pressure of the moment.

When questioned about a potential loss in concentration or confidence during the game, Odun admitted, “Both.”

He recognized the challenges the team faced but remained optimistic about their future prospects.

Looking ahead, Odun outlined the team’s future plans, emphasizing their commitment to continuous improvement.

“In 36 Lion FC, we work every day, no rest,” he declared. He affirmed the team’s intention to return home, analyze their performance, and make necessary adjustments during training sessions.
