Ibom’s air passenger, Emmanson’s comfort, faced the NCAA panel for flight quarrels

Comfort Emmanson, a passenger at the Virus Fighting Center on IBOM Air Flights from Uyo to Lagos, has appeared before the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as part of an ongoing authority investigation of the incident.

Confirming the development, Director of Public Affairs and NCAA Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu, said the appearance was a key step in ensuring a reasonable process and justice.

Previously in a post on X, Achimugu has revealed that several NCAA directorates – including flight security, operations, licensing and training standards, legal protection, and consumers – work together to ensure transparent and impartial investigations.

According to him, “Yesterday in Abuja, the NCAA team met with Julie Edwards and members of the Ibom air crew involved in the Emmanson comfort incident as part of the investigation. Today, Comfort Emmanson, passengers, will meet with authority. He is being accompanied by his lawyer.”

In the update after the meeting, he told Vanguard: “We have met him. When we continue, I will continue to give an update.”

The fight, who was arrested in a viral video, showed Emmanson involved in hot exchanges with airline staff before the clash increased at Muhammated Murtala Airport in Lagos.

Although he was later charged with the court, the Nigerian airline operator (AON) initially imposed a ban on the lifetime of flight to him. The decision was then canceled, and the case against him was formally withdrawn.

NCAA has stated that its investigation will be conclusive and fair for all parties involved.
