At 3pm the focus shifts to a high profile clash involving Heartland FC, who will take on Heartland Cement in a match that could define their campaign.

The excitement follows a series of enthralling games recorded on Tuesday. Kun Khalifat FC’s B team pushed Campos’ A team to the brink before going out 6-5 on penalties after a fiercely contested goalless draw.

In another thrilling encounter, Kun Khalifat FC Team A secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Campos B Team at the Old Stadium, Owerri.

Campos B staged a spirited two-goal comeback to level at 2-2, but Khalifat snatched victory with a late goal moments before injury time.

Off the pitch, the Imo State Football Association has called on corporate bodies and well-meaning individuals to support the competition.

The FA, under the leadership of president Ifeanyi Dike, insists the tournament remains a level playing field for all teams.

The association also highlighted an important milestone, revealing that 32 teams will participate in this year’s edition, one of the highest in Nigeria, underlining the growing attractiveness and credibility of the competition.
