Former Nigerian international Nwankwo Kanu has expressed great confidence that Arsenal will win the UEFA Champions League, after winning the 2025/26 Premier League title.
Kanu believes it is Arsenal’s turn to lift the trophy, highlighting the strength, depth and momentum gained after their recent domestic success.
“I told my friends that last season we were fighting against Manchester City and they won the league. But this season, the situation changed and we emerged victorious to win the Premier League title,” Kanu said.

“Likewise, PSG won the Champions League last year, but I truly believe that this season it will be Arsenal’s turn to go all the way and lift the trophy, making it a historic year for the club.”
Enrique aims for another record in the UCL
Luis Enrique’s generation are aiming to become the first French team to win back-to-back European Cups, while the Gunners look to etch their name on the prestigious trophy 20 years after their first failed attempt at European supremacy.

Prioritizing a cohesive unit over superstar names, serial cutlery collector Enrique, who could now join Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola, Bob Paisley and Zinedine Zidane as the fifth manager to win three European Cups, oversaw an uneventful league stage with 14 points from a possible 24, but PSG came quintessentially to life in the knockout rounds.
The gunners remain undefeated in Europe
Still unbeaten in Europe this season, Arsenal are already the first team to go 14 games unbeaten in a single Champions League campaign, during which they have also kept an unmatched nine clean sheets, one less than their joint record of 2005-06 along with Real Madrid of 2015-16.
