Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze led thousands of worshipers in prayers and worship at Manchester United’s iconic Old Trafford stadium on Saturday during the NSPPD’s prayer conference in the UK.
The event, organized by Eze’s Streams of Joy International, attracted Christians from different parts of the UK and beyond for a day of prayer, worship and fellowship.
Old Trafford, Manchester United’s 74,000-capacity home stadium, took on a different atmosphere as worshipers gathered inside the stadium for the religious programme.
The free event arouses strong interest
Although the conference was free to attend, potential attendees had to register in advance of the event due to limited capacity at the venue.
Interest in the meeting reportedly increased in the days leading up to the conference, with social media users saying available slots had been filled.
Some potential attendees have also turned to platforms like TikTok in search of additional tickets or available spaces to attend the event.

Nigerian gospel ministers join Eze
Several prominent Nigerian gospel ministers joined Eze for the conference, contributing to prayers and worship sessions.
Among those present at the event were gospel singers Sunmisola Agbebi, Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan and Kaestrings.
The gathering combined prayer, worship and musical performances as participants sought spiritual communion and encouragement.
The event also offered a stark contrast to the usual sporting activities associated with Old Trafford, which was temporarily transformed from a football stadium into a place of Christian worship.
The conference took place during the football league’s break for international matches, allowing the famous Manchester venue to host a large-scale religious gathering.
