Julius Agwu in an emotional video said his friends abandoned him during his health crisis

Veteran comedian and singer, Julius Agwu recently spoke about how his friends and many colleagues abandoned him when he had a breakdown.

He said this was a very difficult time for him as he lost friends and relationships during the period following his health crisis.

Speaking on the Beer Parlor Talk podcast, Agwu said his friends abandoned him after he lost almost everything, adding, “My friends abandoned me… they stopped talking to me.”

Agwu underwent brain surgery in 2015 after doctors reportedly discovered three tumors in his brain. One of the tumors was said to be the size of a golf ball.

The comedian was discussing the impact her health struggles had had on her body, career and personal life when the host asked if her brain condition or surgery had affected other aspects of her health, including her sexual function.

Agwu replied, “After I did that, now he doesn’t work anymore. He doesn’t work anymore.”

Agwu also reflected on his influence on the Nigerian comedy industry, particularly his role in popularizing the combination of music and comedy.

“Music comedy in my form, which is to tell you how my brain works,” he said.

The conversation then turned emotional as Agwu broke down in tears while reflecting on his career, his relationships and the people he felt abandoned him during his difficult time.

“Oh my God, who I serve, there are people who know what happened to me. I went looking for him. My friends left me. They stopped talking to me, many of them. Everything is fine,” he said.
