KAA Gent sweat over Orban for Eupen – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

Orban suffered a knock against Leuven last Sunday and was substituted in the second half.

Speaking to Nieuwsblad in the pre-match press conference, Gent coach confirmed the forward is struggling for
fitness.

“Gift took a big hit on Sunday in Leuven, just outside the box, and the referee didn’t even blow for a foul.

“He could have continued to play after getting treatment, but his leg was quite swollen.”

The youngster was then left out of his side’s Europa Conference League game against Zorya Luhansk at Lubli Arena on Thursday.

It is likely Wouter Vanhaezebrouck will be without Orban for the game against Eupen this Sunday as he’s yet to return to train.

In the absence of the Nigerian, Gent will rely on his strike partner Hugo Cuypers for goals.

The Belgian forward rose to the occasion and netted the vital goal in the 1-1 draw against Zorya Luhansk.
