KFN Board Members Support Dimkpa and Praise NSC for Upholding Due Process

Two board members of the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN), Dr Mustapha Sheriff Ramadan, representing the North East, and Mr Brian Obinna, representing the South East, congratulated Engr. Chukwudi Dimkpa on his rise as president of the Nigeria Karate Federation, expressing confidence that his leadership will usher in a new phase of unity, stability and development for the sport.

Speaking to FAKS MEDIA, Dr. Ramadan described Eng. Dimkpa as a committed administrator with a genuine passion for karate and its growth.

“Mr. Chukwudi Dimkpa has consistently demonstrated his love and commitment to karate. Having worked with him, I am confident that he possesses the vision and dedication needed to take the federation forward. I believe his leadership provides a great opportunity to strengthen and develop karate across Nigeria,” he said.”

Furthermore, Brian Obinna commended the leadership of the National Sports Commission (NSC) for ensuring that due process prevailed in resolving the federation’s leadership issue.

“”I commend the National Sports Commission for its commitment to fairness, due process and principles of good governance. With Eng. Chukwudi Dimkpa now leading the federation, I am optimistic that Nigerian karate will witness greater unity, better administration and a renewed focus on athlete and grassroots development. I have confidence in his ability and passion to lead the federation successfully,” Obinna said.”

The endorsements by the two Council members reflect growing optimism among stakeholders as the Nigeria Karate Federation begins a new chapter focused on strengthening governance, promoting unity and advancing the development of karate at all levels across the country.

Meanwhile, Eng. Chukwudi Dimkpa is expected to convene its inaugural council meeting in the coming days. The meeting is expected to deliberate on key governance and administrative issues, establish strategic priorities for the federation and lay out a clear roadmap for the continued growth and development of karate in Nigeria.
