KPU begins uploading factual verification results to IReV

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) election officials have begun uploading Polling Unit (PU) results to the dedicated Results Viewing (IReV) portal for the ongoing governorship election in Edo State.

Voting is expected to conclude after the last person in line casts their vote at 2:30 p.m.

However, the commission announced an extension of the voting time in areas where the process started late, and the closing time will be determined by each polling unit in the affected areas.

The election results at 333 polling stations representing 7.37 percent of the 4,519 polling stations in 18 electoral districts in the province had been uploaded as of 15.10 WIB.

In Ovia South West local government area, results from 15 of the 195 PUs have been uploaded.

Similarly in Etsako East LGA, results from 12 out of 166 PUs have been uploaded on IReV.

Also, in Ikpoba-Okha LGA, results for 68 out of 641 PUs have been uploaded to a dedicated portal.

Additional results will be uploaded to the portal through the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) as soon as voting and counting of results are completed in all PUs across the state.
