Chairman of Nasarawa State APC Governorship Primary Committee,

He said Wadada secured victory after polling 195,285 votes to defeat his nearest rival, former Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, who polled 39,675 votes.
“Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, having certified the qualifications of the APC, is hereby the winner of the governorship primary election,” he said,
Governor Abdullahi Sule had earlier declared Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as his preferred successor.
The president said the primaries were held in a peaceful atmosphere.
He, however, appreciated the incumbent governor of the state and the state APC chairman, Aliyu Bello, for the enabling environment and cooperation the committee has enjoyed in discharging its responsibilities.
