Like the men’s team, the US women’s team beat France to win the basketball gold medal in Paris.

Like the men’s team, the United States women’s basketball team has won gold medals at the Paris Olympics.

Sunday’s gold medal match saw the US women’s team battle it out against hosts France, eventually winning 67-66 at full time.

After the team won its eighth consecutive gold at the Olympics, breaking a record, the US equaled China’s medal tally of 40 golds on the medal table.

However, with the Americans winning 44 silvers and China 27 silvers – they have also won 126 medals overall to China’s 91 – they top the medal table for the fourth time in a row.
