Mikel offered me bribery to join my Olympic team: Siasia responded to the former Super Eagles captain

The former U23 coach of Nigeria Samson Siasia says that John Obi Mikel agent offered him cash bribery for him to include his client in his team for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, reports Owngoalnigeria.com.

Siasia told Elegbete TV Sports: “Mikel was not starting at Chelsea so, I was at the bank. I told him that we only had a game against Ghana to play, please see and help us.

“I said that if it doesn’t come, it won’t go anywhere. But Mikel refused to come, saying he was playing in Chelsea. Nothing happened, we played very well, at the end of the 0-0, we described.

“When going to the Olympic Games, Mikel wants to come to play. His agent said he would give me € 50,000 for Mikel to play.

“I said that it is not about € 50,000. He did not play the qualifiers, so I will take out someone who described us and will bring you? It will not happen. That is why Mikel was not.”
