The MTN telecommunications giant, Thursday, celebrated the Super Falcons with the sum of the reward of N150 million for being the champion of the Africa Nations Cup (Wafcon) just ended on Saturday in Morocco.
The CEO, MTN, Mr. Karl Toriola, at the welcome party of Super Falcons in Lagos, reiterated Mtn’s unrivaled commitment to support women not only in sports, but in all sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Toriola said that the sum of N115m would be for the players while N35m would be for the team.
According to him, Mtn is very proud because it is believed that the company has the most balanced leadership team of gender and also a team of gender equality in the sector.
The CEO, while telling the emotional journey of looking at the Super Falcons, in particular during the demanding game, said: “At 2-0 at the bottom half of time, my heart had fallen. I thought it was over.

“We followed you in every game, every challenge, every triumph and some losses. We have followed you and we will continue to support you,” he said.
