National Power Grid Collapses Again, Fourth in 2024 – TrendyNewsReporters

The national power grid has suffered another failure, causing a nationwide blackout.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) confirmed this in a statement released on Saturday, July 6. According to the distribution company, the power outage occurring within its franchise is due to a failure in the national grid system.

“Please be advised that the power outage you are experiencing is due to a system failure of the National Electricity Grid at 3:10 p.m. today, which affected the power supply to our franchise areas,” the AEDC said. The DisCo said it is working with relevant stakeholders to restore power once the grid is stable. The National Electricity Grid collapsed for the first time in 2024 on February 4. On March 28, it suffered another collapse. On April 14, the National Electricity Grid again suffered another system collapse
