NDE begins RHEI phase three registration in Plateau

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has started registration for the third phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI III), with beneficiaries to be selected from all municipal wards across the 17 local government areas of Plateau State.

The Coordinator of NDE in Plateau State, Fagbemi Joshua Sunday, announced this in Jos, clarifying that beneficiaries of the first and second phases of the program are not eligible to participate in the ongoing exercise.

He said the initiative is a continuation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to tackling unemployment through job creation and skills development.

“The third phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative is a continuation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to empower Nigerians by creating employment opportunities,” Fagbemi said.

According to him, the program offers vocational, entrepreneurial and public works training aimed at promoting wealth creation, self-sufficiency and sustainable livelihoods.

The state coordinator said the shortlisted candidates will be selected from each municipal district in the 17 local government areas of the state to ensure equitable distribution of opportunities.

Fagbemi said only Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 45 are eligible to apply, stressing that beneficiaries from the first and second phases of the initiative will not be considered for the third phase.

He also encouraged persons with disabilities to apply, saying the program is designed to provide equal opportunities to all eligible Nigerians.

“Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 45. Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply,” he said.

He invited interested candidates to visit the NDE Plateau State office at no. 5 Naraguta Avenue, Jos North Local Government Area, for queries and guidance on the registration process.

The Renewed Hope Employment Initiative is one of the federal government’s flagship programs aimed at reducing unemployment through skill acquisition, entrepreneurship development and public works engagement.
