The equity market on Tuesday reversed several days of trading losses with investors gaining N66 billion at the close of trade.
This follows the growth in stock prices such as LEARNAFRICA, OANDO, and CUTIX among others on the trading floor.
After five hours of trading in the capital market, equity capitalization rose to N54.4 trillion from N54.3 trillion recorded by the bourse on Monday.
The All Share Index (ASI) also increased to 95,895.92 from 95,779.79 recorded the previous day.
Market breadth was negative as 19 stocks rose and 23 stocks fell, while 77 stocks remained unchanged in 8,295 trades.
LEARNAFRICA, OANDO and CUTIX led the other gainers with share price growth of 9.94%, 9.90% and 9.85% respectively to close at N3.87, N43.40 and N2.90 from N3.52, N39.40 and N2.64 per share previously.

On the other hand, THOMASWY, OMATEK and FTNCOCOA led the other price decliners as they fell by 9.71%, 6.85% and 6.80% respectively to close at N1.58, N0.68 and N1.92 from initial prices of N1.75, N0.73 and N2.06 per share.
On the volume index, JAIZ BANK led the trade with 651 million shares worth N1.4 billion in 149 deals followed by STERLINGNG which traded 53 million shares worth N218 million in 70 deals.
INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES traded 28 million shares worth N127 million in 134 deals.
On the value index, JAIZ BANK recorded the highest value for daily traded shares worth N1.4 billion in 149 transactions followed by SEPLAT which traded equities worth N1.30 billion in 102 transactions.
GTCO traded shares worth N692 million in 27 transactions.
