Nigeria’s Junior D’Tigress will look to secure a win against Angola in the second match of Group C at the FIBA U-18 AfroBasket Championship 2024 on Saturday (today).
The Nigerian girls lost their opening match, 70-57 to Egypt, and currently occupy the third position on the log, with Angola and Egypt in first and second position respectively.

Nigeria secured a place in the competition through the zonal qualifiers in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Nigeria has reached the final of the competition twice in 2008 and 2020. The tournament will serve as a qualifier for the 2026 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.
Hosts South Africa are in Group A with Tunisia, Cameroon and Rwanda, while defending champions Mali are in Group B alongside Morocco, Zambia and Angola.
