NNL25: ABS ILORIN FC GARBAGE MADIBA FC IN ILORIN

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club assured a convincing 3-1 victory over Madiba FC in his Matchday 20 clash of the Nigeria National League (NNL) at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbow George Innih Stadium in Ilorin on Saturday.

The Sarakiboys had a flight start, with Ajina Boluwatife scoring the starter in the 17th minute. Ayoku Abdulrahman doubled the advantage just before part time, although Madiba FC withdrew one in the dying minutes of the first half.

The hopes of the visitors faded quickly when Jamiu Onikoko added the third goal for Abs Illorin FC at the beginning of the second half, sealing the victory for the local team.

Coach Anthony Encho expressed satisfaction with the result, saying: “The game was good. I am happy with the result, although we lost opportunities. But we are improving in terms of goals score. This is the first time we scored three goals in the second round, so it is a great victory for us.”

The victory promotes ABS Ilorin FC on the stairs at the South Conference of the National League of Nigeria (NNL) B. Its next challenge will be a match outside ABAKALIKI FC.
