The Board of Directors of the Lagos State Football Association quickly acted to face an impeccable impeccable imperfection of the finals of the 2025 Federation Cup, which took place last Saturday at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, onikan, Lagos.
During the last final game between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the general manager of the victorious Kwara United, Bashir Badawiy, violated the rigorous security measures in progress. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors sitting in the Vvip section of the stadium, thus jeopardizing their security, as well as that of other important dignitaries and leaders of the sector present.
Following the disruptive behavior of Mr. Bashir Badawiy, the Board of Directors of Lagos Fa decided to impose a penalty and a fine on him.
In an official letter signed by the Secretary of Lagos Fa, Mrs. Vera-Hycient Okechukwu, Bashir Badawiy was asked to pay a fine of N10 million and to present a letter of excuses to Lagos Fa, with copies sent to the Nigeria football federation, by Monday 15 July 2025.
