Obedo PF, the exceptional musician and recording artist, concludes this run with a hopeful new record titled “Promise Land”.

After venting to Shayo under the influence of alcohol, he focuses on something bigger. “Promise Land” is no longer about one night; it’s about where all the effort really takes you. Obedo PF finally reveals the destination behind the grind of the six songs.

The instrumentation here is warm, based on a delicate guitar melody and soft percussion. The chords have a gospel-adjacent lift that was absent on any previous cuts. The speed is slightly slower than that of “Shayo”, but never as heavy as that of “Victim”.

His voice is more convincing here, solid and confident rather than loose or clipped. He’s not rushing the hook, allowing each line to land with intention. That patience gives the record a certain serene confidence that earlier, harder cuts didn’t have.

Lyrically, it stitches together the threads of the entire ride: the frenzy of “Wayo,” the pain of “Victim,” and the release of “Shayo.” Everything points to a goal now, that promised land he is chasing. It’s like a summation and not even a single line from before is repeated.

Obedo PF did a great arc here, six records in total. Swagger. Aggression. Feverish activity. Bad. Publication. Hope. Everyone belonged here. “Promise Land” brings the entire story together without tying it into a tidy bow.
