Ondo Landlord, two more arrested for kidnapping, rape, murder of AAUA students

The tragedy hit the state of Ondo while the police command confirmed the arrest of a landlord and two accomplices for the kidnapping, rape and the gruesome murder of two students from Adekun Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.

The suspicions, including the landlord identified as Oladele Femi, presumably connovated to kidnap and kill the victims: the 25 year old Abah John Friday and his 19 -year -old friend, Okah Andrel Eloho.

The police commissioner, Adebowale Lawal, who informed Akure journalists, described the murders as “brutal and senseless”, revealing that the victims were kidnapped on June 20, 2025.

According to the chief of the police, the investigations began after a legal petition was presented by Go Omodu & Co. on behalf of Emmanuel Peter, the older brother of one of the victims.

The investigators of the anti-kidnapping unit came into action, distributing forensic monitoring to trace a missing iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the victims.

The device brought investigators to the village of computer in Ikeja, Lagos, where he was recovered by a 38 -year -old man, Abdul Mohammed Mubarak. Mubarak confessed to buying the phone from another suspicion, Ojo Michael, who was subsequently arrested in Aramoko-Eekiti, in the state of Ekiti.

A Lexus RX 350 vehicle belonging to the deceased was also recovered during the operation.

During the interrogation, according to reports, Michael confessed to having actively participated in the robbery, kidnapping and any murder of the students.

He also revealed that the landlord, Oladele Femi, led the entire crime and recruited him together with another suspicion identified simply as Kola, who is still on the run.

In a chilling revelation, the police said Michael admitted that he had raped the victim before killing her and Friday to prevent any possibility of exposure.

“The investigations also revealed that while the victims were held prisoner, a total of N800,000 was transferred by the account of Mr. Friday,” said the CP.

He added that the suspicions have eliminated the bodies in separated places between agbado and ode-eeks.

By acting on information obtained during the interrogation, the police officers recovered the remains of Eloho in a bush near Ode-Eekiti. Since then his body has been deposited to the morgue for the autopsy.

“It is believed that the remains of the male victim have been downloaded in a river from suspicion on the run. Efforts are underway to recover the body,” added Lawal.

“This case represents a tragic reminder of evil that betrayal and greed can trigger.

“These young students were full of promises, just to be torn in cold blood by those who knew and trusted,” complained about the police chief.

The State Police Command of Ondo has ensured to the public that justice will be pursued in its logical end, while the efforts to arrest the suspicion on the run continue.
