Osimhen berates Finidi George for alleged ‘compromise’ comments

Osimhen, who was absent from the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic due to injury, was reportedly criticized by Finidi for his commitment.

In a decisive response, the 25-year-old forward defended his commitment and disagreed with the coach.

“I asked Finidi George to allow me to stay with the players in the camp, but Finidi asked me not to bother and stay with my family,” he said in the IG Live video.

“Now, after two bad games, everyone blames me.

“I know how many injuries I have played with Nigeria and I played with all my heart, but after two bad games, everyone attacks me.”

“I will not allow that lack of respect and that stain on my name,” lamented the player.
