The Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP) in the state of Ogun accused the governor Dapo Inhabitun of vindictive after a 500kva transformer donated to the community of iun Moro to Ikenne from his candidate for the governor in the 2023 elections, Hon. Oladipupo Adbocuu, was presumably removed from state officials.
Platform Times collected that the transformer, presented to the community on August 6, 2025, by the organization for the development of Ladi Adbocutu (Lado), was to end over four years of blackout in the area.
However, the PDP said that the administration’s agents led by Inhabitun took the community on Thursday 21 August and took away the equipment, a move that the opposition party described as “a reckless hatred show for the people”.
In a declaration signed by his advertising secretary, Otunba Kayode Adebayo, the PDP sentenced what he called an “insensitive and irresponsible act”, stating that the governor was more interested in the well -being of the well -being of Ogun’s residents.
“The attempt of the governor inhabituing to remove the transformer simply because he was provided by the Honbutu shows the depth of his contempt for the people of Ikenne.
“This government thrives on political bitterness and the deliberate negligence of the communities,” read the declaration.
The opposition party also stated that the governor had developed “a reputation of violence, delinquency and contempt for Ogun citizens”, insisting on the fact that his administration was intent on frustrating individuals and organizations that offer assistance to private communities.
The residents of iun Moro, according to the PDP, resisted the removal of the transformer and remained on the ground against what they called “senseless invaders”.
The party has urged the communities throughout the state to safeguard similar donations from Adbold and Lado, claiming that over 1,000 transformers had been distributed to cities and villages in need in Ogun in the last ten years.
While calling the residents to remain calm, the PDP has said that it will continue to stay in solidarity with the communities “abandoned by a government that gives priority to revenge in the service”.
The time of the platform collected that the residents of the community resisted officials to take away the transformer.
The efforts to obtain the reaction of the state government of Ogun on the accusation were not successful as at the time of the press.
When contacted, the commissioner for works and infrastructures, AdeSanya promised to return to the time of the platform.
But, as at the time of the press, it still had to return.
