PDP bangs inhabitun Govt for the exclusion of restaurateurs at the AGUN SPORTS FESTIVAL

The chapter of the state of Ogun of the Democratic Party Popoli (PDP) slammed the administration of the governor Dapo Dapo Inhabitun on what he described as the movement “shambolic and exploitation” of the national sports festival in progress in the State, accusing the government of local Caterici and animating to give a rare opportunity to start the citizens.

In a strongly formulated declaration signed by the secretary of the state advertising of the PDP, Arc. Otunba Kayode Adebayo, the party has expressed indignation for the reported exclusion of over 80 local restaurateurs from the supply of services for the festival, despite the previous promises by government officials.

Many of the affected restaurateurs, including women and widows, were said that they had invested heavily in anticipation of the commitment, just to be abruptly replaced by the University of Babcock.

“This betrayal is not just shameful, it is a slap in front of the indigenous people of Ogun Laboriosi,” said the PDP. “Instead of exploiting this multi-miliar event of Naira to increase the local economy, the APC government has again chosen the customer on the community.

“How can a state government deny its citizens the opportunity to benefit from a national event and outsource this opportunity to a private institution?”

The opposition party compared the current situation to the 2006 edition of the National Sports Festival hosted under the Administration of Otunba Gbenga Daniel, describing that era as “Gold Standard” for inclusive planning and empowerment of citizens.

“This festival went down in an disorganized show,” added the PDP. “It should have been a vehicle for economic growth and basic involvement. Instead, under the APC, it has become a tool for exclusion and exploitation.”

The PDP also designed parallels with the controversial system of Kobape accommodation, in which the residents presumably made payments without an adequate allocation of the housing units, describing it as part of a “deception model” under the current government.

By asking for immediate intervention, the party asked that the Governor inhaboun directed the local organizing committee (Loc) to face the concerns of the affected restaurateurs, compensate them adequately and to issue public apologies to the people of the State of Ogun.

“This administration has again demonstrated its lack of compassion and competence,” said the PDP. “But the good people of Ogun’s state should remain patient.

“A government led by the PDP will restore dignity, responsibility and true economic empowerment”.

The declaration urged the residents to show hospitality to visit athletes and officials while remaining hopes for a political change that gives priority to the well -being of the Ogun people.
