Pentecostal Fellowship Honors Popular Broadcaster, Pastor T, and Others, Unveils New Vision of Leadership

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has honored a popular television host, Rev. Tolulope Taiwo, widely known as Pastor T, with the Media and Communication Excellence Award in recognition of his contribution to the activities of the fellowship.

The honor was part of a larger ceremony in which the association also celebrated its founding fathers and unveiled a new leadership vision aimed at strengthening unity, moral standards and infrastructural development.

The event, which took place amidst prayers and reflections, also saw the inauguration of a newly completed hall and attracted clerics, stakeholders and members from across the community.

A senior cleric, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who was absent due to an engagement abroad, expressed his goodwill through a message delivered at the meeting.

He apologized for his absence and praised the association’s leadership, particularly its president, for their resilience and commitment to achieving their goals.

Adeboye also lauded the recognition accorded to the founding fathers, describing their contribution as crucial to the growth and stability of the association.

“The honor given to our fathers is well deserved. Their sacrifices, prayers and guidance laid the foundation on which we are all building today,” he said.

The outgoing leaders, in their reflections, described the past eight years as impactful, citing sustained unity, visible growth and strong spiritual support from senior ministers.

They noted that the period saw improved collaboration among members and consistent support from religious leaders, which contributed to the stability of the body.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the new president, who outlined his administration’s priorities.

He said his leadership will focus on deepening love among members, promoting practical teachings on faith and prosperity, and addressing social challenges such as marital and moral issues within the church.

“In times like this, people must understand how to live and thrive even in a difficult economic environment. We will continue to teach the principles that guide both spiritual and daily life,” he said.

The President also revealed plans to upgrade the fellowship’s facilities to accommodate larger meetings and multi-day programs, stressing that the infrastructure development will be carried out in phases.

On governance, he expressed confidence in working with the executive council, many of whom served in the previous administration, adding that continuity would enhance effective leadership.

“It’s a vision, a direction. With unity of purpose, we will continue to move forward,” he said.

Members were urged to view leadership positions as avenues to service rather than status, with a call for greater commitment to the association’s mission.

The event concluded with prayers for sustained growth, unity and spiritual advancement, as leaders encouraged members to remain steadfast in their faith and collective responsibility.
