Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga has called National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi a “copy-paste politician” who he says has failed to demonstrate independent thought in public service and leadership.
Onanuga in a post on his X handle, further described Obi as lacking originality in his political and economic ideas, adding that Obi, the former governor of Anambra State cannot be compared to President Tinubu.
Onanuga’s post was a reaction to Reno Omokri’s thread about Obi’s past references to the Indonesian economy as a model for Nigeria.
Onanuga said Obi had nothing to show for his eight years as governor.

He wrote, “Peter Obi has never demonstrated original and authentic thinking. He is a copy and paste politician. That explains why he had nothing to show as governor of Anambra for eight years.
“Willie Obiano, his successor, said Obi failed spectacularly in providing security in the state. Unlike Governor Tinubu in Lagos, Tinubu abandoned the LAWMA, LASTMA, LAMATA, RRS, rail and road master plans, which are still being implemented to this day.
“Nigeria deserves a leader who is able to see beyond what ordinary people see, a leader who is proven to be a deep thinker and doer. Peter Obi is no match for President Bola Tinubu. They are not on the same level”, he said.
