Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade expressed her joy following Nigeria’s dominant win against Ethiopia in the Paris 2024 qualifiers.
The Super Falcons triumphed over the Lucy with a resounding 4-0 victory during the second-leg of the match at the MKO Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday.
Ajibade netted two goals, while Asisat Oshoala and Uchenna Kanu added to the scoreline.
Uchenna Kalu started the rout by scoring the game’s opener in the first half, followed by Rasheedat Ajibade, who secured a brace, extending Nigeria’s lead early in the second half.
Uchenna Kalu then set up Asisat Oshoala to make it 3-0 after the one-hour mark, with Ajibade completing the rout with her second goal of the match, sealing Nigeria’s fourth goal.
Speaking after the game she explained that:
“It’s been a while Nigeria qualified for Olympics, only one person has been to the Olympics in the squad. So it’s a dream for all of us.”
Falcons will face the Lioness of Cameroon in the final qualifying round.
