Police arrested Nurtw’s leader because of the alleged murder in Lagos

Police operations in the state of Lagos have arrested a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Shamusideen Adio, for alleged murder.

Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command, Babaseyi Oluseyi, confirmed the news in a statement in Ikeja.

He said the 55-year-old player had been detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti-Yaba, for a wise investigation of charges of attack and murder.

Oluseyi added that the suspect allegedly attacked the shipping rider on Lagos Island with the victim still receiving treatment at the hospital.

The statement reads: “The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a Samsideen Oladiti ‘M’, known as” Shameleon “, 55 years old, in connection with two violent crimes on Lagos Island involving cases of murder and other attacks.

“The suspect is currently in custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti-Yaba, for a wise investigation.”
