Prince Laja Adeoye on Thursday emerged as the consensus gubernatorial candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APC) for the 2027 elections in Lagos State.
Adeoye, a real estate businessman, emerged at the party’s gubernatorial primaries held in Yaba, Lagos.
The election, which was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), was conducted through consensus and affirmation.
Chairman of the APM Governorship Primary Electoral Committee in the state, Godwin Williamson, said Adeoye was adopted by party delegates and stakeholders from the 20 local government areas of the state.

He said: “Having fulfilled all constitutional and procedural requirements of the party and the Electoral Law, and following the consensus support of stakeholders and delegates, I hereby officially declare Prince Laja Adeoye as APM’s elected and returning governorship candidate for the 2027 Lagos State Governorship Election.”
In his acceptance speech, Adeoye praised Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, for their support.
He hopes “real change and freedom” will come to Lagos if he becomes governor in 2027.
