The population of Jebbu Binde Village of Ta-Hoss District in the Riyom Regional Government in the highlands, has been thrown into mourning and lamenting after the attack on the public by armed people suspected of militia on Monday night which caused more than 30 murder and the destruction of property worth millions of naira.
The militias reported to have invaded the community at night and in the usual way, going from house to house killing innocent people including women, children and parents who could not escape from robbers.
Hundreds of other residents were also injured while houses and vehicles caught fire.

“The attackers who were correctly identified as extremists were fulani by survivors, invaded the Bindi community in the Ta-Hoss District in the Riyom Regional Government on Monday night and in their regular attack patterns consistent with some previous attacks throughout Riyom and other parts of the highlands, the word systematically slaughtered more than 20 innocent people including women, children and parents,” the report.
“This attack occurred despite the existence of security forces that were seen in and around the area, including armored military assets. The houses were burned, abandoned families, and trauma were deepened.
“It must be clearly stated that these attackers are unknown. The hiding place and settlement of their bases in the closest pockets have been repeatedly identified and reported by community leaders and local authorities. However, year after year, this known threat continues to attack with impunity, often unmatched.
“The recurrent nature of this cruelty shows not only for protection failure but raises big questions about slowness, negligence, and systemic compromise.”
In the video that is trending on social media platforms on Wednesday, poor residents are seen crying and lamenting the disaster that befell them, something that has become a regular event in the problematic northern central state.
