The Manchester United Legend and England, Wayne Rooney, has accredited Arsenal fans for the role they played in their team’s 3-0 victory against the headlines of the Champions League, Real Madrid.
In the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions League in the Emirates on Tuesday night, Arsenal hit Madrid 3-0.
Two impressive free throws of Declan Rice and another lovely End Mikel Merino sealed the impressive victory.
Rice made history, since he is now the first player to score two direct free throws in the knockout round of the Champions League.
Despite the impressive players’ performance, Rooney reserved praise for club fans.
“Arsenal was excellent tonight. I think you have to give a lot of credit to the crowd, I thought the atmosphere was fantastic, the crowd really pushed the team,” Rooney told Amazon. “It could have been more, it could have been five or six!”
