The “TECH Our Girls Initiative” (TOGI), a joint empowerment program of the Rangers International Football Club Foundation, the United States Government Exchange Alumni Association Nigeria Enugu State Chapter, TechWomenNigeria and the Campus Technology Life Initiative, is set to initiate a transformative training program aimed at equipping girls with practical digital and life skills for leadership and entrepreneurship.

The initiative, which will begin on May 13, 2026 at the Government Technical College (GTC), Enugu, will focus on combining hands-on technology training with social emotional learning (SEL), in what organizers describe as a “dual-match” approach to girl child development.

According to the organizers, the program is designed to empower participants with programming skills, creativity, confidence and character development, while strengthening their ability for purposeful leadership and entrepreneurship in a rapidly evolving digital world.

The training model integrates technical and vocational education and training (TVET) with SEL principles, emphasizing innovation, resourcefulness and personal development as key drivers of future success.

Speaking about the vision behind the initiative, the partners noted that the program is not just about teaching technology, but also about training well-rounded young women who can contribute meaningfully to society and the economy.

The engagement is expected to include hands-on technology sessions, mentorship, interactive learning and values-based training aimed at preparing participants for opportunities in the global digital economy.

Organizers described the collaboration as a strategic partnership anchored in data-driven girl development, aimed at closing the gender gap in technology while promoting leadership excellence among young women.

The initiative continues to gain attention thanks to its supporting themes: #TECHOurGirls, #GirlsInTech and #SELmatters, strengthening its commitment to inclusive education and empowerment.
