Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday adjourned proceedings of a lawsuit challenging the registration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord Party, Action Alliance (AA) and others indefinitely.
A judge has been set on Friday to deliver a decision in a lawsuit filed by the Joint Board of the National Forum of Former Legislators against several political parties.
However, the trial of this case was stopped after the Agreement Party obtained a postponement of the process at the High Court on 29 May.
At the start of the hearing, the court clerk notifies all parties that the judgment has been postponed and a new date will be announced in due course.

Responding to the development, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Forum of Former Legislators, Raphael Igbokwe, expressed disappointment over the decision of the Court of Appeal to grant a stay of proceedings in the case.
Igbokwe told journalists that the forum had challenged the appellate court decision by filing an appeal against the stay of proceedings at the Supreme Court.
“We are concerned that a case that has reached the judgment stage is now stalled due to a delay in the process.
“In practice, this is the same as arrest of judgment.
“Nonetheless, we remain committed to pursuing all lawful means to ensure that the issues raised in this case are resolved in the interests of strengthening Nigeria’s democracy and advancing constitutional and electoral jurisprudence,” he said.
